Day 21 - Healing Outside the Box

Things are starting to wrap up here. Spoke with my doctor about my last set of blood tests and ultrasound. Liver enzymes continue to drop even though I don’t really feel the changes in my appetite. The tumor has shrunk a little more, but he cautioned me that most of the significant changes will occur over the next 3 months.

I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed. I will be eating meals that have a higher caloric content. I get to put on a chefs hat and become creative in new ways of preparing my meals that taste good while still being healthy. The real difference will be in cutting out processed foods, foods with unnecessary added sugars and refined sugar. I can have grass fed, no hormones or antibiotics, wild, harvested meat. Although they said no pig or bottom feeding fish, which I assume is due to the food these animals consume is more toxic. I am looking at old world grains to make my own bread and pastas. Finding organic cheese that come from grass feed and no antibiotic cows. Buying more organic fruits and vegetables. Although these are all things that I have been doing over the last 10 years, I will have a stronger focus on making some of my own food that I would normally purchase. It will be more time consuming and more expensive, but I am committed to this journey because I believe it is the best chance of a full recovery for me.

Tomorrow, I will be getting my clavicle port removed. Having the port alleviated the need for them to stab my forearm everyday, a fact I much appreciated, but it is uncomfortable. I am being sent home with powder vitamin C, B-17 capsules and 3 liters of the Sunivera. The C & B17 are what I would normally receive in my IV. I will need to be trained to continue administering the shots of Sunivera around my belly button on a daily basis.

I have intentionally left out one of the treatments, since it sounds like something a witch doctor would give you, but after further research, it has been proven to be effective in fighting cancer when given in combination with some of the other protocols...Blue Scorpion Venom. This is one of the 3 phases in their Salvus Bio-Immunotherapy protocol. Each of these phases is critical in activating the adaptive immune system that is suppressed by cancer. After consuming the Blue Scorpion Venom, I received a Harry Protein shot. Surprisingly, this felt more painful than what I imagined an actual scorpion sting would feel like. It is administered with a fairly large needle and was an extremely painful shot in my buttocks(say it with your best Forest Gump accent) that created a 5 inch diameter spasm around the injection site. It took me a good 10 minutes trying to walk it off before it subsided. The worst part was that I had to have another shot the following week. I had told Jose that I knew why he gave the shot into my butt, so he could avoid being hit… he laughed, but he did warn me that this was going to hurt.

I researched this scorpion...they are very large, about 8 inches and a dark black color that has a blue tint. They also glow under UV light like most scorpions. I am not into tattoos, but I could see getting a small scorpion, that would glow in UV light, as it would represent a part of my healing journey.

I appreciate all your support. Pray that my energy comes back soon.

I'll leave tonight's blog with a message I really needed to hear today. This comes from one of the nurses who wrote on a card for me....

Where there is love, there is life.

Final Goodbye

Don't think of it as a goodbye, more like a see you later. This post is written by Jim's daughter Tyra. As many of you know my Dad...

A New Hope

It was quite the journey getting home. Was supposed to be home Friday evening, but didn’t actually get in until Saturday afternoon....
